Top 5 News and Magazines Apps on Android in Brazil - Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of the top News and Magazines apps on the Android platform in Brazil showcased diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

X (Formerly Twitter) from X Corp. showed a notable fluctuation in weekly revenue, starting at around $3.8K and peaking at approximately $29.2K in early December. Weekly downloads initially surged to 166K in early October before settling around 76K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained robust, ranging from 6.4M to 12M throughout the period.

Notícias Locais by NEWSDELIVER LIMITED experienced steady weekly revenue, averaging around $30. Downloads peaked early in the quarter at 91K but gradually declined, closing with about 39K. Active user numbers showed a consistent rise, reaching 839K by the end of December.

O Trabalhador had no revenue data, but its downloads saw a significant decline from 75K to 19K over the quarter. The active user count varied, with a peak of 104K in November before dropping to 57K by year-end.

Consulta Benefício from Tazoa Apps also reported no revenue. Downloads peaked at 45.6K in mid-October, followed by a decline to 29K by December’s end. Active users fluctuated, dropping from 120K to approximately 70K.

Finally, G1 Portal de Notícias da Globo maintained a strong download rate early in the quarter with 198K, which declined significantly to 3.7K by the end. Active users decreased from 3.1M to 2.1M over the same period.
